Structures don’t appear to be in the CZ. Dormers on the lower roof, very high pitch on both roofs, chimney just visible on lower roof, horizontal/clapboard siding, log piles probably for firewood, shingled roofs–my guess: US Northwest or US Northeast, possibly hunters

You have one or two other photos of this location with these people (at least the female) in your collection. I agree. Definitely not Panama or Canal Zone.
