Can anyone identify the name of the airship? What type of airship is it? Were they common in Panama?

I believe the two dirigibles are the same aircraft, in the Canal Zone, maybe in the 1930s when this type was in service; possibly a US Navy dirigible. In bottom photo, it flies over or next to Sosa Hill in Balboa, the photo taken from El Prado boulevard, evidence the two rows of royal palms. My guess is the top photo was taken at one of the Navy’s installations on the Atlantic Side, probably Coco Solo.

I concur. Bottom photo is definitely taken from the Prado and the hill is Sosa Hill.
